David Roher, a local Teaneck resident and Yavneh parent, spoke to Yavneh students about his personal journey. Roher has devoted time and great effort to train as a tri-athlete. He was inspired to compete by the desire to lose weight and adopt a healthy lifestyle. Roher described to the students the sheer volume of training required for him to reach his physical goals. He articulated the reward of hard work, identifying the childrens’ homework as an element of their current “work.” Roher inspired the students to develop persistence and direction in their own lives.
