Pre-k students at Lubavitch on the Palisades embarked on an international country tour. Children examined a globe in order to understand where they live in relation to the rest of the world. The children were delighted to learn that they would be spending the week exploring the cultures of Italy, India, France and Japan. Over the course of the week they participated in activities of those countries, cooked and tasted the traditional foods, read books and learned some phrases in French, Japanese, Italian and Hindi. Some of the highlights included doing yoga on India Day, watching a French movie on France Day, making sushi on Japan Day and baking pizza on Italy Day.
