Parshat Behar includes important mitzvot pertaining to the land of Israel. Preschoolers at Lubavitch on the Palisades learned about the mitzvah of shemita. For six years the farmers can work the land and reap the rewards, but in the seventh year they leave the land to rest. This resting period gives the land a chance to rejuvenate just like we re-energize on Shabbat, the seventh day of the week.
