(Courtesy of Lubavitch on the Palisades) Lubavitch on the Palisades celebrated Chanukah with menorah lightings in the boroughs of Alpine and Tenafly. Alpine held its inaugural menorah lighting on the fourth night of Chanukah and Tenafly returned for its 29th year at Huyler Park. Jewish families joined together in unity and Jewish pride, with words of inspiration, kindling of the lights, jelly doughnuts, hot cocoa and Chanukah gelt. Special thanks to the menorah lighting committees of each town, Jonathan Mangot of Alpine, the Tenafly police departments and town officials, and the rabbis and staff of Lubavitch on the Palisades for putting these events together.
