(Courtesy of Lubavitch on the Palisades) Participants of Lubavitch on the Palisades’ six-week course, Decoding the Talmud, celebrated their class graduation last Tuesday evening. Taught by Rabbi Mordechai Shain, the course delved into the development, significance and current relevance of the Talmud.

The course participants learned the history of the Talmud and gained a real understanding of the Talmud’s structure and vast subject material, as well as an appreciation of the rabbis who put it together. The course enhanced all the participants’ knowledge and respect for this central book of Judaism.
