Lubavitch on the Palisades (LOTP) in Tenafly took a trip to the resting place of the Chabad-Lubavitch Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Shneerson, in Queens. The Ohel, as it is commonly referred to, is a place where people from all walks of life come to pray. The trip brought together Jews from all around the world to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Rebbe’s passing. Highlights of the evening included learning together, praying at the gravesite and hearing from Rabbi Yisrael Goldstein, rabbi and survivor of the horrific shooting in Poway, California. Rabbi Goldstein’s message of bringing more light into the world in the face of darkness and adding in mitzvot and good deeds inspired everyone present.
