Demarest lighting: (l-r) Mayor Brian Bernstein and council and Rabbi Mordechai Shain.

(Courtesy of Lubavitch on the Palisades) Lubavitch on the Palisades celebrated Chanukah with Menorah lightings in the boroughs of Tenafly, Alpine, Cresskill, Englewood Cliffs and Demarest. Over 200 Jewish families from each borough joined in unity and Jewish pride, with words of inspiration, kindling of the lights, jelly doughnuts, hot cocoa and Chanukah gelt.

Cresskill lighting: (l-r) Rabbi Mordechai Shain with Mayor Benedict Romeo and council.

Lubavitch on the Palisades would like to thank the police and fire departments of Tenafly, Alpine, Cresskill, Englewood Cliffs and Demarest for all their help, as well as these towns’ menorah lighting committees for arranging the lightings in each town.
