On June 21, Lubavitch on the Palisades took a trip by bus to the Ohel (gravesite) of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, located in Queens, New York. The trip was in honor of the Rebbe’s 23rd yahrzeit (anniversary of passing). After praying at the gravesite and putting in personal letters of petition, the group joined other groups who had gathered there together for dinner and an inspirational speech given by Rabbi Simon Jacobson, noted author and lecturer. For some participants, it was their first time coming to visit the Rebbe’s Ohel, and they found it very spiritually uplifting; for others, it is an annual tradition they have come to cherish and look forward to every year. Lubavitch on the Palisades would like to thank Rabbi Mordechai Shain for arranging the trip. For upcoming events and community info, please visit
