Ma’ayanot students began their Tu B’Shevat celebration enjoying snow TUBing at Campgaw Mountain! After lunch, they participated in a round-robin of incredible Tu B’Shevat activities, spearheaded by Torah Programming Coordinator Miriam Schwartz, with the help of the incredible activities team. Each student chose a teacher-led session to attend. Some topics included personal growth, the fruits of Eretz Yisrael and the lessons they could learn from a tree. Their Tu B’Shevat knowledge was tested in a competitive Kahoot game led by Rabbi Zev Prince. Students also attended a deconstructed Tu B’Shevat seder in which students explored various foods at their own pace and discussed some “food for thought” related to the spiritual significance of each of the foods they were eating. Finally, students got to plant their very own microgreens that have hopefully already begun to sprout.
