Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

From the day I walked into Ma’ayanot, my teachers have been the reason I am excited to come back every day. I want to thank my teachers for having class environments that are fun and engaging. All of my teachers are passionate about the subject they teach, and this reflects in the warm atmosphere of the classroom because they truly care that each student should also feel a connection to that subject as well. Furthermore, I want to thank my teachers for sharing their wealth of knowledge with me. Every teacher has a deep understanding of the material, which makes it easy for them to clearly explain it to the class. Although my teachers are amazing in the classroom, they are so much more outside of the classroom as well. My teachers are always offering times to meet not only to review material, but also to check in and see how life is going. I love coming into class everyday and seeing my teachers because they always make me smile, and for this I am grateful for.

I am so grateful for my Ma’ayanot teachers and rebbeim who are our true role models! They are devoted beyond the classroom and the subjects they teach and they go out of their way to see us for who we are and all that we can achieve. They consistently and passionately stretch our minds and challenge our intellect to think critically and to pursue higher and higher goals. But beyond challenging us, they make sure to give us the tools and resources that would enable us to thrive. I cherish the warmth, love, and support my teachers have invested in me and my friends—thanks to their unyielding faith in us and our potential they inspire us to work harder and pursue greater goals. Thank you to all of our Ma’ayanot high school teachers who have made such a positive impact on our lives.

With much appreciation,
Ayelet Ostrin and Tifi Teitelman

On behalf of all the students at Ma’ayanot, we want to express our gratitude to all the teachers for the hard work that they put into their lessons each day and for the great efforts that they make to get to know each of us on a personal level. Not only do our teachers educate us in the academic subjects, such as math and Tanach, but they also serve as role models, and teach us by example how to properly act with midot tovot. Our Ma’ayanot teachers really care, and they take the time to bond with us individually as well as together as a class. The Ma’ayanot faculty wants to connect with us, understand more about us and help us grow, above and beyond the subject matter we are studying. Every Friday we sit as a class and reflect on our week with an innovative program called Lev Hashavua. During this time we talk about aspects of our week, learn more about our classmates, and gain tools that we can take with us in order to improve our everyday lives. Our teachers listen intently to our stories and thoughts, and contribute their experiences to advise and help us grow into the best versions of ourselves. Therefore, we would like to express our appreciation through this letter:

Dear Teachers,

As students of Ma’ayanot, we thank you for your dedication to ensuring that we have the greatest high school experience. You spend countless hours preparing lessons, grading papers and providing feedback. You challenge us to think critically, push us to be our best and celebrate our successes. You are patient with us when we struggle and encourage us to never give up. Your influence extends far beyond the classroom. You show us what it means to be kind, compassionate and understanding. You give us the tools we need to succeed in life and become the best versions of ourselves. Thank you, teachers and faculty at Ma’ayanot for all that you have done for us.

Sincerely,
Ayelet Sandler, Avigayil Aharon and the entire Ma’ayanot community
