On March 6, Ma’ayanot celebrated its annual Scholarship Fund Dinner virtually. Every year the senior class is invited to join the dinner and it is a highlight of their year. Parents Tova Epstein, Rebecca Kurz and Joy Sklar planned a Fabulous Friday Fete for the Class of 2021, on March 5, to enjoy some of the festivities of the dinner and have some well deserved grade bonding time, as they prepare to say farewell to Ma’ayanot, their home away from home. Students were mailed a special invite with a mask and goofy glasses for the occasion. They all dressed up for the festivities, took awesome photos and were treated to assorted Baked by Melissa cupcakes. As a fun surprise, seniors donned kangaroo shoes to jump and dance as they celebrated together. Their ruach could be felt throughout the building as the floors literally shook with their excitement.
Gaby Gotesman (‘21) wrote, directed, filmed and edited “A Student Point of View,” a short video for the Ma’ayanot dinner program. Her classmates were privileged to have a special premier viewing of her film. Seniors were so thankful to have been able to share in the moment together. This year may not be a regular senior year, but the school staff still wanted to show how proud they are of the seniors and give them a day they will never forget! Thank you so much to all the senior parents who helped sponsor this wonderful event.
