The Ma’ayanot English department, directed by Samantha Kur, has created the “Write the Ship: Streams of our Consciousness” blog. This is a creative outlet for both faculty and students to express themselves during this time of isolation. There are many different facets to the blog, including original artwork by talented students, poetry, reading recommendations and more. Kur has also used the platform to create the “Dickens Challenge.” She invites both students and faculty to look for “the best of times” in these “worst of times” through any medium which speaks to the individual, whether that be photography, drawing, painting, writing or film. As we slow down to capture the “best of times,” it encourages us to create our own “spring of hope”!
