Summer reading is a time to choose a book that captures your fancy! Ma’ayanot students and faculty participated in the annual school-wide book club over the summer of 2020. Students chose from a list of over 15 books generated by the Humanities department and by faculty identifying books of lasting value. The list included fiction and non-fiction, classic and contemporary literature, magical realism and historical fiction. Students were encouraged to annotate, highlight and fill their books with their thoughts and observations. Last week faculty and students joined small and large discussion groups to review the themes and lessons of their chosen books. It was wonderful to hear the lively and meaningful discussions between students and faculty sharing the joys of reading and learning from each other.
