Students from Ma’ayanot attended an NCSY/Rapids Rising Mission to Houston last week with Nina Bieler, dean of ninth grade; Rabbi Zev Prince, assistant principal of co-curricular life; and Rabbi Ethan Katz, NCSY regional director. The group helped rebuild houses that were damaged by flooding during Hurricane Harvey and spent Shabbat with the community, sharing ruach and Divrei Torah. “It was such a fun experience. We sanded and plastered walls and our friends put down flooring,” said freshman Yael Bodoff. “The family we stayed with for Shabbat felt like family.”
