This week Ma’ayanot presented its second annual Mental Health Awareness Week spearheaded by the executive members of the Ma’ayanot Mental Health Alliance and ably helmed by President Rikki Rosman, Class of ‘21, and her team. Events throughout the week included a Mental Health and Munchkins Breakfast Talk on Anxiety and the Teenage Brain, led by Ayelet Schwartz, of the Ma’ayanot guidance team, a Foliage Walk and Talk with the Deans, a Menuchat Hanefesh Mishmar with the mashpia staff, coloring away stress with the guidance staff and more. The highlight of the week, undoubtedly, was the opening program by CCSA, a local community founded organization combating stigma and providing education about substance use and addiction. More offerings are in the works for parents and students throughout the year designed to support the overall mental health and wellbeing.
