(Courtesy of Ma’ayanot) On Tuesday night the Ma’ayanot Rapids soccer team headed east to Bergenfield High School. The Rapids were invited to face off against the Bergenfield Bears on their senior night. The Ma’ayanot seniors Maayan Berkowitz, Hodaya Rimberg, Naomi Honikman, Nava Forman, Meital Hirshkorn and Avigayil Rifkind received roses as a sign of appreciation to the time they have devoted to their team.
It was a hard fought game and the Rapids did not disappoint their fans. Some highlights were:
Hodaya Rimberg’s goal and excellent midfield play; Aliza Guzman, with the iron woman/never give up award, displayed great endurance and heart; Avigail Rifkind and Naomi Honikman were both solid defensively.
