Ma’ayanot Rapids Go on Retreat

This past week, Ma’ayanot had its annual “Rapids Retreat” at the beautiful Camp Dora Golding. The retreat is a wonderful opportunity for students to bond with their friends and faculty in a fun, relaxed setting outside of the classroom. The day included sports, arts n’ crafts, mini golf, swimming, boating, fishing and plenty of delicious food! The theme of the retreat, “Laying Our Foundations,” connected nicely to Ma’ayanot’s new theme of the year, “Building a Home.”

The girls enjoyed participating in learning sessions given by advisors and limudei kodesh faculty, which included this new theme and focused on the Torah’s perspective on what building a home really entails. Students were also treated to brand new swag, courtesy of the Parent Council.

“Starting off the year with this full day of bonding, fun, learning and more, we set the tone for what the year at Ma’ayanot is all about,” Aliza Adler, director of Student Activities explained.

Both the faculty and students had an amazing day and are planning on using the energy, ruach and achdut from the retreat to infuse the rest of the year with this spirit.
