(Ma’ayanot Sports) Last Wednesday night the Rapids hosted Kushner at Red Bull Arena with tons of fans honoring the seniors from both teams. The game was very close and senior captain and goalie Maayan Berkowitz had an incredible game with tons of difficult saves. Seniors Avigail Rifkind, Meital Hirschkorn and Nava Forman were relentless on the field attacking every loose ball. Senior captain Hodaya Rimberg led her team with poise and intensity as she developed plays from the middle and was very aggressive on offense. Senior Noami Honikman, was nursing an injury from the sideline but supported her teammates by photographing the game and her teammates in action. After introductions from their coaches, flowers and giant cards shaped like soccer jerseys were given to the seniors to celebrate this special night. Thank you to all the fans who attended and supported the teams.

The final score was 1-0, Kushner. On Sunday, The Rapids hosted Frisch in their final game. Sophomore Meital Rimberg knocked in a hat trick and sophomores Mia Polonetsky and Aliza Guzman had one goal each. The team had a ton of ruach and enjoyed the camaraderie of hosting their last game as families watched from the sidelines.

The final score was 5-1, Ma’ayanot. The Rapids look forward to playing in the spring with the Yeshiva League.
