Ma’ayanot’s senior forensics elective class visited the Bergen County Bureau of Criminal Investigation where they met Detective Sergeant Dilkes and Detective Melillo who explained how they collect evidence at crime scenes and process them in the labs. The ballistics specialist then demonstrated bullet and gun identification and the fingerprint analyst explained the methods of fingerprint identification. Many of the students were inspired to explore careers related to forensics. It was a great trip—case closed!
