“Into The Woods” is the Ma’ayanot Drama Society’s special re-introduction of the winter musical. This close-knit group of accomplished high school theater students will perform the beloved show on December 27-29.
“Into the Woods” tells the poignant story of a childless baker and his wife on their search to make a magic potion in order to undo a curse that was placed upon their household by an evil witch. On their journey they are introduced to countless classic fairy tale characters such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack from “Jack and the Beanstalk” and many more. Of course, as in many Sondheim shows, things don’t always go as planned…
The show will be performed live on stage in the new Ma’ayanot Performing Arts Center at 1650 Palisade Avenue in Teaneck. Tickets, $20 for adults and $15 for students and senior citizens (as well as a special student offer for the December 27 show at 5 p.m.), are on sale now at www.blackboxpac.com.
