Ma’ayanot’s color war theme this year was “The Road to Redemption.” The freshman, pink, were Yetziat Mitzrayim; the sophomores, blue, were Kriat Yam Suf; the juniors, purple, were Dor Hamidbar; and the seniors, black, were Har Sinai. The color war activities and events gave every student a chance to shine, whether it was competing in sports competitions, intellectual challenges and Torah competitions, writing divrei Torah and team songs, creating Haggadahs, choreographing dances and painting banners. Although the events of color war are grade against grade, Ma’ayanot students came together to exemplify what true achdus means. It was amazing to see the amount of time that each grade invested in all aspects of color war and the tremendous talent that we have in school.
