Everyone from the administration, faculty and students participated in making Chanukah meaningful, fun and inspirational at Ma’ayanot. Every day started off with an uplifting davening together as a school, including musical Hallel with a minyan. Concluding each day, all four grades and the entire faculty gathered together for a communal Mincha, with candle lighting and singing together. Chanukah programming at Ma’ayanot included a Rapids pep rally, a keynote speaker who inspired us to continue having emunah in Hashem during these difficult times, school-wide learning programs and teacher panels and a chagiga which included music, dancing, divrei Torah and slow shira. Over the course of the week, each class also had its own evening party hosted by Ma’ayanot teachers and administrators. The busy week ended with everyone enjoying a delicious luncheon sponsored by Parent Council.
Juniors Avigayil Cyrulnik, Ayelet Sandler and Orly Bieler exclaimed, “There was an incredible amount of ruach and excitement in Ma’ayanot during Chanukah week and we all felt the special achdut and unity among all the students and teachers.”
