Ma’ayanot Advanced Health Students Study Wound Care

In the 11th-grade Advanced Health Science elective, students explored different types of wounds by creating realistic “injuries” using common household materials and describing them with medical terminology and writing short stories about the mechanisms of injury. Additionally, they practiced inserting and removing medical staples, discovering that orange peels—though thicker than real skin—still made for a fun and educational experience.
