Last year, the Ma’ayanot Varsity basketball team organized a basketball clinic for girls in third through fifth grades. Its goal was to teach elementary school girls how to strengthen their skills and how to play in a game. The team put together different drills to help the girls become more comfortable with their dribbling and shooting. They also learned how to work together as a team when playing in a basketball game. The clinic was a big success and attracted more than 50 elementary school girls from schools such as Yeshivat Noam, Moriah, RYNJ, Ben Porat Yosef, and Yavneh.

This year, the team will be having another clinic on Sunday May 18 from 2-4 p.m. at its very own Ma’ayanot gym (1650 Palisade Ave., Teaneck, NJ). Once again, the clinic will be for girls in third through fifth grades and will help further strengthen their basketball skills.
