Last week the JV Rapids soccer matched up with Frisch in the playoffs. These two teams are particularly competitive with one another. Although the last two times the two met Ma’ayanot lost, the Rapids came into the game with their heads high and focused.

Rapids freshmen Danit Forman and Penina Krischer scored the first and second goals of the night. After taking the lead, the Rapids felt more relaxed and confident against the Cougars. The Cougars, did not back down and scored two goals in the fourth quarter. Tied up, the Rapids had to quickly change the momentum that Frisch built up. Rapids answered back late into the fourth quarter, with 4 minutes to go, with a goal from Forman off of an assist from Noa Berkowitz. Rapids had achieved the victory they were seeking.

The Rapids will face SAR in the championship game. Two years ago Ma’ayanot lost in triple overtime to the Sting and it still burns (pun intended).
