Ma’ayanot Launches Mishpachot Initiative

At Ma’ayanot, everyone is one big family, and this year, the school is taking that to a new level with the launch of the new “Ma’ayanot Mishpachot” initiative. Starting high school as a freshman, or even returning as a sophomore and having to navigate a new school, new classes and new friends, can be overwhelming and challenging. To help with the transition, and offer lowerclassmen support and guidance from students who have done this before, each student in Ma’ayanot is part of a “mishpacha.” A Ma’ayanot Mishpacha is made up of a mix of upperclassmen and lowerclassmen. The juniors and seniors can share their experiences, give study tips and answer questions the freshmen and sophomores might have. These mishpachot can create new connections and bonding within the grades, and help create a fun, supportive and inclusive environment for all students.

The mishpachot program kicked off last week with a fun “Meet Your Mishpacha” activity, where students met their groups, bonded, and started forming the connections that will hopefully continue to grow throughout the year!
