Junior Varsity

In a terrific game, the Ma’ayanot junior varsity Rapids basketball team beat Kushner 45-31. The Rapids came out strong with 11 points in the first quarter and twenty in the 3rd, to secure what would be Kushner’s game total, and the victory. Sari Alexander led all scorers with 14, Nealy Sacks poured in 12 of her own.

Even though the Rapids had only seven players in the varsity basketball game against the Kushner Cobras, they won 73-41. Junior Michal Horn had 9 points, all from behind the 3-point arc. Senior Gabi Lerner scored 11 points, 9 of them from the foul line. Senior Adina Rosenberg scored 24 points, half of them coming on foul shots.
The teamwork was excellent, and I am proud of the hard work and energy that they put into winning this game. Their playing really showed that they never give up on themselves and that they can win.
