Every year before Thanksgiving, Ma’ayanot’s Holiday Enhancement Committee (HEC), under the advisement of faculty advisor Rabbi Zev Prince, plans a program aimed at giving students an opportunity to reflect on all that they have to be thankful for. This year the program began with a moving presentation by Rabbi Lawrence Rothwachs, rabbi of Congregation Beth Aaron in Teaneck,  about his experience of being a kidney donor last year. Rabbi Rothwachs’ talk was followed by a festive seudat hodaya during which students had the opportunity to create thank you cards for members of the armed forces.
