(Ma’ayanot sports) On Wednesday, January 31 and Thursday February 1, the Ma’ayanot Rapids varsity volleyball and basketball teams had their final home games and wins of the regular season. Our seniors were honored by their teammates, coaches, parents and friends. The festivities started in the morning when seniors came into school to find their lockers decorated by the underclassmen with signs, pictures and balloons. Before game time, the ceremony began with a video of team alumni and teachers wishing them well followed by introductions from their coaches with a spirit tunnel made by the underclassmen. The lovely and appreciative seniors were given flowers and a framed team picture. The stands cheered them on with signs form their fans.

Congrats to volleyball team seniors: Tamar Stein, Racheli Miller, Tiferet Teitelman, Tziporah Bargad, Hannah Milner, captain Reeva Belgrade and captain Talia Wallach. Congrats to basketball team seniors: Miri Hochberg, Sara Mirwis, Sigal Ostrin and captains Ayelet Eizikovitz, Shifra Prager and Ayelet Ostrin. Coach Chayim and Dahlia are very proud of their volleyball teams and can’t wait to get ready for the playoffs! Coach Evan and Coach CC are very proud of their team and look forward to further success in the playoffs.
