Teaneck—On Saturday evening, March 8th, Ma’ayanot parents, students, alumni, and friends will gather at Congregation Keter Torah in Teaneck for Ma’ayanot’s Annual Scholarship Dinner where they will pay tribute to five extraordinary honorees.
Mark and Bracha Bluman are being honored with the Keter Shem Tov Award for their unyielding commitment to Ma’ayanot’s mission, growth and success. Mr. Bluman served as the school treasurer from 2007-2013, and Mrs. Bluman served as a member of Ma’ayanot’s Education Committee, and has run a multitude of projects and events covering the entire spectrum of life at Ma’ayanot.
Dr. Ernie and Sallie Levi are being honored as Parents of the Year for their tireless devotion to enhancing Ma’ayanot’s academic community. Most recently, Mrs. Levi served as president of the Ma’ayanot Parent Council from 2011-2013, and in that capacity she brought her creativity and innovative ideas to improve countless school events and the daily experiences of Ma’ayanot students.
Abbie Rabin, former Director of College Guidance, will receive the Faculty Appreciation Award. Mrs. Rabin, who recently retired, was the founding director of Ma’ayanot’s College Guidance Department, which she shaped and directed with great skill, professionalism, and integrity for 15 years.
All funds raised through the dinner will dedicated to underwriting Ma’ayanot’s scholarship program, which awarded more than $1 million for the current fiscal year to families in financial need.
