Rabbi Jay Goldmintz, Tanakh and Halakha teacher at Ma’ayanot, was part of a select group of Jewish day school teachers and administrators chosen to take part in a unique tefillah symposium, entitled Aleinu Leshabe’ach, run by the Pardes Center for Jewish Educators.
Seventeen participants who have demonstrated leadership in this field, from across the religious spectrum, were invited to participate in this intense six day seminar to explore challenges of and possibilities for tefillah education in day schools.
Rabbi Goldmintz has authored numerous publications related to tefillah education and adolescent religious development, including the new Magerman Edition of the Koren Ani Tefila Siddur: A Siddur of Reflection, Connection and Learning.
Community members interested in learning more about this important and sensitive topic are invited to attend Rabbi Goldmintz’s upcoming shiur series, “The Meaning of Praying and Praying with Meaning: An Exploration of Tefillah and the Siddur.” The series will take place at Ma’ayanot at 12:15 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. on the following dates: Dec. 3, 17, 24, 31, Jan. 7.
