Last week the varsity Rapids faced off against the Hillel Heat in round one of MYHSAL soccer playoffs. When the horn sounded, ending the first period, Ma’ayanot was up 6-0. Sophomore, Dafna Levine, scored the first goal in less than a minute. She also had several assists. Freshman, Esther Avidan scored 4 goals and junior, Aleeza Berkowitz had 1 goal with 13 seconds left in the period. Goalie, Denny Tammam had some aggressive plays protecting the goal in the last minute.

This is their second division champ title. They are shooting for the league title again this year. Their next game will be up against SAR in the semi-finals. They are 1 -1 against SAR.
