This week, Mrs. Hoffman’s first grade class continued their lesson on the five senses, with a lesson on hearing. The students used plastic cups to create hearing devices, similar to a telephone, and spoke to each other through the cups. The students also did a fun hearing exercise. They placed an item into a bag and closed their eyes. Using only the sense of hearing, the class tried to guess what was in the bag by listening to what sounds it made when shaken. It was a fun way to see just how useful and important hearing can be!
