Manhattan Day School/Yeshiva Ohr Torah, founded in 1943, is a Modern Orthodox day school located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan serving toddlers through eighth grade students. Our warm and welcoming school community embraces children and families from around the city and around the world, and celebrates the diversity of customs and backgrounds represented.

Our core goals are to inspire our children to develop a love of Hashem, the Jewish people, Torah and Israel, through learning and living the texts and traditions of Am Yisrael with joy; cultivate a lifelong foundation of midot and ethics, through the fostering of a school culture of respect, safety and kindness; and engage in a dynamic exploration of the world around them through immersion in the humanities, math, science and emerging technologies, art and music, and the history and culture of our vibrant democracy and global community

We offer dynamic and up-to-date instruction in Judaic studies, literacy and STEAM, rich visual arts and music programs, a warm community with differentiated instruction and caring teachers, robust special education, including inclusion classrooms and engaging parent involvement.
