A celebratory atmosphere was in the air on Wednesday, as students came dressed in white and blue, focused on the blessing of Israel’s independence! Students began the day with an inspiring and festive Shacharit, complete with celebratory Hallel and plenty of singing. Next, students entered the beit midrash and were immediately ready for army training! The theme of the day was Tzahal and each activity connected to this theme. Students went through basic training, were treated to shekem and created their personal IDF tags.

The day continued with a festive, traditional daglanut presentation by the fifth graders and a concert with Nathaniel Ribner. At MDS students feel a deep love and connection to the state of Israel. Thank you Reut, Michael, Lital, Ela and Shachar for creating meaningful programs for these days.
