On Tuesday evening, students, parents and faculty joined together to commemorate the milestone of the MDS eighth grade graduation. It was an opportunity to revisit old times and celebrate the accomplishments of each graduate. After the processional, Dr. Kletenik opened the ceremony with words of welcome , followed by student speakers reflecting on their years at Manhattan Day School. Dr. Kletenik, Ms. Miller and Rabbi Cohen distributed the diplomas while speaking about each student personally, then the guests viewed a montage of the Class of 2023 and watched students grow up before their eyes throughout their years at MDS. After inspirational words from Sharon Miller and the official graduation proclamation by Board President David Prager, the graduates took photos with their families and enjoyed the recessional.
Thank you to Cindy Sherman, Alexander McGarity and the entire administration for all of their help with this momentous event. Thank you also to the dedicated graduation committee, for their hard work in planning this meaningful program. Mazal tov to all of the graduates!
