Yavneh Academy had a successful, first-ever March Mishmar Madness event! The middle school girls enjoyed their mishmar madness evening on Thursday, March 22.
Beginning with a delicious pizza and fries dinner, the girls then participated in dynamic learning sessions focused on the Torah perspective on sports. Topics discussed included: good sportsmanship, honesty in sports, sports: how playing stimulates the mind and the body.
And then…the competition began. The middle school gym was filled with girls participating in a three on three tournament. In-between game sets, girls performed creative dance compositions featuring hip-hop, gymnastics and synchronized movement. Winners in each category received a gift card and all students had an enjoyable night.
Yasher koach to Coach Aliza, Coach Lauren, Morah Baruchov and Mrs. Kranczer for arranging a unique evening.
Yavneh’s boys’ Mishmar Madness evening will be rescheduled to April, due to a snow day!
