The Moriah School’s early childhood got a special visit from the matzah factory. The students had an opportunity to bake their own delicious matzah from scratch, learning all about the entire matzah baking process. The children made some amazing looking matzahs. In anticipation of the matzah factory coming to Moriah, the pre-k students read the book “The Mouse in the Matzah Factory” by Francine Medoff. Just like the mouse, the students were able to witness and learn about the steps of making matzah. From growing the wheat, to grinding the wheat kernels and then quickly mixing the newly ground flour with water to make dough, they had so much fun making their own matzah. Mmm…the children are really getting in the mood for Pesach.
