On Thursday, Jan. 2, students in grades 1-8 participated in a Chanukah celebration with Yachad. The day was packed with engaging activities that fostered inclusion and created joyful memories, ensuring that every participant felt connected and enjoyed celebrating Chanukah together! The festivities kicked off with exciting wacky races designed for all abilities, encouraging teamwork, laughter and friendly competition. Next was doughnut decorating. This hands-on activity added a sweet touch to the celebration and allowed everyone to enjoy the taste of Chanukah! The highlight of the day was a lively chagigah for grades 1-8 and their guests, featuring a concert by Aryeh Kunstler. Known for his energetic performances and inspiring Jewish music, Kunstler led the group in dancing, singing and celebrating the miracles of Chanukah. His music lifted spirits and got everyone on their feet! This special event was an unforgettable celebration that combined fun activities, delicious treats and the uplifting power of music. It brought together students from both Yachad and MDS in an inclusive, supportive environment to celebrate the warmth and light of Chanukah.
