Welcome to “Organelle Speed Dating!” As part of the unit on cells, ninth grade students researched cell organelles, their structure and function and then created a profile with songs, habits and pictures. Students then rotated around the lab, meeting other organelles and determining which organelles would be a good match for them. They rated their matches on a scale of 1-10 and discussed their matches at the end. The girls did a great job of connecting functions that their own organelle performed with similar or related functions of other organelles.
