MetroWest Holocaust Council Hosts ‘Generations’ Exhibit

The Holocaust Council of Greater MetroWest NJ is hosting a Holocaust-themed exhibit titled “Generations,” a collection of paintings, sculpture, conceptual art and photographs by artists Hannah Keselman, Milton Ohring, Joanie Schwarz and Lev Gal Wertman. On display from September 17 to November 17, the exhibit will open with an artists’ reception on Sunday, September 17, from 2 to 5 p.m., where light refreshments will be served.

The exhibit is a response to the alarming increase of worldwide anti-Semitism, as well as Holocaust forgetfulness, distortion and even denial as a result of the inevitable decline in the numbers of survivors and witnesses to the murder of six million Jews during the World War II. Its purpose is to remind us to never forget the unprecedented events that occurred as the result of this genocide.

The works will be exhibited in the Gaelen Gallery West, Alex Aidekman Family Jewish Community Campus of the MetroWest JCC, whose address is 901 Route 10, Whippany.
