The MetroWest JCC unveiled its new fitness center last month with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Attended by devoted fitness center members, JCC staff and board members, the ribbon cutting was followed by small group tours, along with equipment demonstrations, after which the new facility was opened to all members.
Over the last year, the MetroWest JCC has made extensive improvements to its fitness facility, including a new barre studio, upgraded flooring and equipment in the advanced workout studio (Studio 3), a new indoor cycling studio with all-new, top-of-the-line Precor bikes and upgraded locker rooms including all-new women’s showers. The biggest improvement, however, is the transformation of the fitness center, which now includes 65 top-of-the-line Precor cardio machines, all-new flooring and a new training area with a Queenax functional fitness system. A picture gallery of the new equipment and a virtual tour of the new facility can be viewed at jccmetrowest.org/fitness.
So much more than a state-of-the art fitness center, the JCC offers access to swim lessons, 120+ fitness classes, personal training, spa services, racquetball courts, basketball courts, running track, two indoor swimming pools, new cycle studio, new small-group training studio, new barre studio, kids fitness, free babysitting, café, child and adult classes, lectures, arts performances, sauna and steam rooms, covered parking and so much more.
Revenue from fitness memberships goes back into helping the community through JCC MetroWest mission-driven programming, including special needs, arts programs, senior adults, camp and preschool scholarships and more.
JCC MetroWest has been a pillar of the community since its founding in 1877. Its mission is to strengthen the community and add meaning to the lives of those it serves by connecting them to shared Jewish experiences.
