Join the community on Sunday, April 7, the six month anniversary of October 7, for a day of hands-on service experiences and Jewish learning opportunities throughout the Greater MetroWest area. CommUNITY Mitzvah Day provides an opportunity to put the Jewish values of tikkun olam and tzedaka into action, making a real impact on the lives of others.
Learning sessions include “Wonderland & Battleground: Exploring the Dissonance in Israel with Jonathan Kessler,” “Learning Opportunity for Teens: Being a Jewish Teen in 2024… Now What?” and “Understanding and Responding to Anti-Jewish Ideas with Project Shema.”
All CommUNITY Mitzvah Day programming will take place throughout the day on Sunday, April 7 at locations across the Greater MetroWest community. Hands-on activities for volunteers of all ages, both in-person and at home, are available, including Passover food packing in Whippany, gardening and emergency kosher food relief packing in Elizabeth, and a clothing collection for Yad Leah in Linden. Additionally, there will be a collection of brand-new sneakers for teenagers in Israel at several locations in the Greater MetroWest area.
Space is limited for most in-person projects. Registration is required for all projects.
