This week started the girls playoff action. We had some thrilling games and dramatic upsets. One of the most glaring upsets occurred in the second grade girls division. The Toppan Vintage team was facing PressONE.net—Voice & Internet, PressOne.net took the season series by a commanding 3-1 mark. Their most recent game came in the last week of the season when Toppan Vintage threw down a record setting number of points, lead by Lielle “speedy” Skoczylas.

Going into the game, the PressONE.net—Voice & Internet team had to come up with a way to contain Skoczylas. Their plans worked in the first half…well sort of worked. Skoczylas was held to only one basket in the first half, but teammates Eliana Adler and Emunah Konigsberg carried the load with four points a piece, while PressOne.net saw five players score. In the second, Skoczylas scored once more as Toppan Vintage won the game and head to the championship game this sunday.
