This past weekend the much anticipated MGBL high school league kicked off, showcasing some of the top high school talent. This year’s league draws from New Jersey’s Bergen, Passaic, Edison and Middlesex counties, along with Monsey and New York City.
After Shabbos, all teams played an exhibition game to gear up for the season. The night featured tightly contested games and some terrific shooting. At Ben Porat Yosef, the Dr Popowitz’s Center team connected for 13 3-pointers, while Maadan’s Eli Saks hit six treys of his own at Ma’ayanot High School.
A long time MGBL parent/coach, but MGBL high school first-timer remarked, “Wow, just wow. I can’t get over the talent level of these games.
