As the regular season is coming to an end, the teams are all fighting for post-season positioning in the final games. At Ma’ayanot High School, the finally healthy Dr Popowitz’s Center team was up against Team Tree Point Play and looking for their second win of the season. Dr Popowitz’s Center’s Akiva Feit led all scorers with 21 point and 10 assists. Chesky Lewin chipped in with 17 points of his own, but the balanced Tree Point Play attack— led by eighth grader Shmuel Yablok’s 18 points—proved to be too much, as Tree Point Play picked up their fifth win of the season.

Meanwhile at Yeshivat Ben Porat Yosef, The Jewish Link of NJ team was similarly looking for their second win of the season versus the Lincoln Equities Group. Lincoln Equities was paced by Avi Wolk’s 14 and Yakir Lefkowitz’s 16 points, but the story of the game was Yoni Mann. Yoni scored an insane 42 points (two points shy of the entire Lincoln Equities team) as The Jewish Link of New Jersey collected a 62-44 victory. Later that night at Yeshivat Ben Porat Yosef, Team Chai Lifeline found themselves up against Sharsheret. Sharsheret entered the night riding a four game win streak and were hoping to continue their winning ways. Chai Lifeline was led by Jonathan Bick’s 17 points and Eitan Zwebner’s 13, but the Sharsheret one-two punch of Stevie Paul (18 points) and Daniel Hirsch (17 points) propelled Sharsheret to extend their streak with win number five in a row.
