This past Sunday was the much anticipated start of the MGBL girls’ season. In true MGBL fashion, the league saved the best game for last. In the 3/4 division, Triumph Hotels defeated Marc@links in overtime on a game winner from Jacklyn Weber with just a few seconds left in the game.

The season will take place from the end of December until April. MGBL is a high-caliber recreational basketball program that focuses on teaching basketball fundamentals to all levels and the value of working together as a team. There are four divisions, divided by grade: second, third/fourth, fifth/sixth and seventh/eighth. Each session includes a practice and game and all teams will make the playoffs. Games will be played at Ben Porat Yosef (BPY) in Paramus and other local locations. Coaches will be volunteers with basketball knowledge and experience. Minimum playing time ensured for all participants. Applications will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis.
Team sponsorships are available for $300 (name of uniforms). For supporter level ($1,000), division sponsorship ($500) and other league sponsorships (<$300) please contact MGBL at [email protected] for more information.
