In an exciting matchup between two 3-1 teams in the Jason M. Suss, DMD fifth/sixth grade division, Camp Shalom faced off against Cellectar Biosciences, Inc. The two teams went up and down the court scoring on both ends in this high scoring affair. Camp Shalom had big games from Noah Rubenstein and David Silverman, but ultimately they could not hold off the charge of Isaac Stepner and his game high 41 points as Cellectar bounced back from last week’s loss with a hard fought win.
In the seventh/eighth grade division, Prime Ortho Rehab looked to get its first win of the season as they took on Treuhaft & Zakarin. Following a second quarter where Treuhaft & Zakarin saw every player on their team score in the quarter, they led Prime Ortho 34-16 at the half. The second half though saw Prime Ortho crack down on both sides of the ball. They played great defense and some big shots by Noah Fischman and Yoni Wilk helped get Prime to within two points of Treuhaft. Just as the lead seemed to be slipping away, Jack Weiss and Aaron Nadler controlled the final two periods of the game and helped lock down the victory for Treuhaft & Zakarin leaving Prime Ortho still seeking its first win.
