Naaleh students had the unbelievable privilege to hear from Micah Kaufman, who shared powerful messages about the centrality of chesed in our lives. Kaufman was introduced by Aviva Breda, a fellow kidney donor who shared stories of Micah’s miraculous recovery and the role that both chesed and tefillah played in his regaining consciousness. A paradigm of chesed in his community, Kaufman urged the girls to do chesed while doing something they love in order to make the experience even more enjoyable. Since Kaufman is not currently able to maintain the level of communal involvement he held previously, he tasked Naaleh students to be his chesed agents, and to have him in mind with their acts of kindness.
