Midreshet Lindenbaum Plans Virtual Beit Midrash Summer Program

(Courtesy of Midreshet Lindenbaum) Since traditional camps and summer programs will not be operating as usual, some programs are looking to switch to virtual scheduling. Ohr Torah Stone’s Midreshet Lindenbaum recently announced a new Virtual Beit Midrash program for young women completing 10th and 11th grades.

The program, which runs three days a week for three weeks, includes at-home high level Torah learning with the Lindenbaum faculty, with an option to join a Tanach or Gemara track. The program will feature classes by Rabbanit Sally Mayer, Rabbanit Nomi Berman and Rav Menachem Leibtag and will include classes on Eretz Yisrael as well as contemporary halacha.

“We are so excited to bring the vibrant experience of the Ohr Torah Stone Midreshet Lindenbaum beit midrash from Yerushalayim into students’ homes all over the world,” said Rabbanit Sally Mayer, Rosh Midrasha. “It will be a great way to meet other girls from all over the world who love learning Torah.”

Tiyulim, scavenger hunts, Israel-themed paint parties and other events will still run in order to help students form a close bond––even virtually.

The online program will take place from June 22 through July 9 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Midreshet Lindenbaum, located in the heart of Jerusalem, is known for its high level of learning. Its students develop a deeper commitment to Torat Yisrael, a stronger connection to Eretz Yisrael and a greater love of Am Yisrael.

“While these challenging times have kept people in their homes instead of at schools and camps, video technology has opened up the world for so many,” said Rabbi Kenneth Brander, president and rosh hayeshiva of Ohr Torah Stone. “This summer program is giving young women around the world access to high-level Torah learning with excellent educators and role models, bringing them into the largest women’s beit midrash in the world.”
